TRACI ROBINSON (Executive Producer) received her Bachelor of Fine
Arts degree in Theater from Adelphi University in 1983, graduating Cum Laude.
After working several years in New York and Philadelphia, Robinson moved to
San Francisco to pursue experimental multimedia theater. Robinson designed
costumes for the world premier of RIGHT MIND for George Coates Performance
Works, in collaboration with A.C.T. After two years as resident Costume
Designer for such original works as THE ARCHITECTURE OF CATASTROPHIC CHANGE,
INVISIBLE SITE and DOUBLE VISION: EIKO & KOMA/CHANTICLEER, Robinson became
the Assistant Director.
Working in multimedia with first rate designers, musicians and computer
programmers led to the computer music industry. In 1993, Traci became
Product Manager for Opcode Systems, Inc., a MIDI music software company
that was among the first to produce professional sequencing software for
musicians and film composers. Robinson helped usher in the first generation
of educational CD ROMS teaching the fundamentals of music.
In 1995 Robinson moved to Los Angeles, where she was involved in the
production of WHITE SQUALL, and G.I. JANE, directed by Ridley Scott.
Since then, she has pursued commercial and documentary film production.
Recently, Robinson was Production Coordinator and Segment Producer
for STAND AND BE COUNTED, a documentary film on social activism in the
music and entertainment industry. The film highlights interviews with
such artists as Joan Baez, Melissa Etheridge, Wavy Gravy, Bob Weir,
Jackson Browne, Robin Williams and Sting.
Robinson is currently executive producing AMARGOSA, a feature documentary
about artist and dancer Marta Becket, and the Death Valley Junction ghost
mining town she recovered and revived with her hand painted Amargosa
Opera House and Hotel.
